We elected with 5 other Moto V guys to ride to Melacca for lunch and back to Singapore on the same day.
We met at 9am at the GP Petronas and after a quick refill we headed to Melacca via the NS Hwy.
After 1H30 of uneventful ride we got off and headed to Muar via the coastal road, unfortunately we took the South exit which was far longer in time and we had to ride through villages and Batu Paha.
Back on the coastal road, great stretches for a bit of speeding to 220km/h in 4th gear,or clearing your pipe. Nice roads.
We eventually arrived in Melacca, but it was on Deepavali, of course going downtown took us 30 min for just 600m as the world was converging through little India and the historic district.
On that day it was hot as hell, and a great test for the engine radiator.
I had to take my riding jacket off before reaching our parking spot, it was way to uncomfortable to ride all the way with it.
We opted for Peranakan food as the famous chicken rice balls restaurant had a line a mile long. Peranakan Restaurant at Equatorial Hotel in Melacca is highly recommended.

We headed back to Singapore around 3pm, very busy traffic all the way to the highway but once on it, fairly light traffic, we were crusing at 150 to 160km/h.
We stopped once to get something to drink, and decided to slow down as we were approaching the famous speed trap after Kulai.
Anyway, at some point about 15km before the Shell station, Kelvin decided to give it a go and floored it, i followed him and bef0re we knew it we were reaching 200km/h. Great stretch of highway.
We pulled in the Shell station well before the group, Eugene then told us that he had a seen a speed camera on the divider lane, and that we were probably in for a nice speeding ticket and out of coffee money.
We proceeded towards the Malaysian customs but no police stop there, and ended up in Singapore in no time via Tuas.
So far no summons, I guess we were either lucky or just too fast, to get caught!
Next time Kelvin you will speed on your own!!
Distance covered Tuas-Tuas 650Kms
